Dear All,
I am involved in a project to write between 10 and 15 BRIO reports, and we are looking to consolidate with a common front end to enter the report parameters. From previous discussions with BRIO developers, the obvious course is to write all the reports in a single BQY file.
Coming from a programming background, I would prefer to compartmentalise the reports and keep them in separate BQY files for the following reasons:
- so that more than 1 person can modify the reports
- to lessen the impact of accidental damage that would require regression testing after each change
Is there an alternative approach to how I could structure a suitable hierarchy?
This approach would need to be fairly speedy. It can take some time for the QuickView client to open for each BQY file, which is unacceptable.
Any suggestions?
Ian.
