Hi,
I've got a very simple report in which the detail section is split into 2 parts (a and b). Each detail section contains a subreport.
The problem I've got is that when running the report, the header section on the main report takes up the entire 1st page and the first detail sections moves onto page 2.

Is there anything I can do to get the deatil section on the first page.

Many thanks for any help.

You should check both main and subreports in design mode, to see if you have unused white space in the report header. Move the section border up in order to minize the space. Or if you don't need the section, suppress it altogether.

Thanks for the reply LB. I don't have any unused white space in the report header and the space is minimized as much as it can be.
Could it be something to do with the size of the subreport? I think I read somewhere that if the subreport goes over a page then it starts it on a new page. If this is so, is there any way of getting around this.
I'm using CR XI.

Yes, that might be it. Select the subreport->format subreport->common tab->uncheck "keep object together".
