report header displays number instead of data

I have a database constructed with a lot of pull down screens. For example, our salesmen are in the "salesperson" table, and a sale is in the "sales" table. When a sale is entered, we enter the salesperson from a pull down screen that was constructed through a lookup table in design view.

The problem is that on reports, when we add a grouping level for salespeople, their number in the database comes up rather than their name. Any solutions?

were are you getting the data from for the reports surely you have the name field in there as well

Add you lookup tables to the query so you will have a value to display and sort on. Also, consider this recommendation
