Report Grouping, Printing and Emailing

I currently produce a report for all directors in our company with the names of employees who have not meet thier targets. Currently the report is grouped and has pagebreaks when the director's name changes. First, the report prints out followed by a blank page. Is there a way to stop the blank page? And second, is there a way to tie the director to a table with their email addresses so the proper report can then be automatically emailed to the appropriate director? I'm a bit new to this and have a working solution that I have to email myself, just would like to take advantage of some of Access's automation. Thank you. Derek

I have a very similar problem. I have all of the data required, but need a way to print each report to a specific pdf and pick it up as an attachment to a specific e-mail address.

Any direction and/or help would be greatly appreicated!

I'd be curious to learn more about automatically
emailing reports to people. I'm not sure how easy
it is without involving exchange or some 3rd party
access plugin.

regarding the blank page being printed:
doublecheck that the horizontal width of your
report is lessthn/equlto the total size available
for you to print in (page width - margins).
if it's a milimiter over, blank pages start
printing.

regarding printing to adobe PDF, there's several
useful 3rd party tools out there, cheap ones
even, that make life easier for this task.
But if you choose to use straight adobe PDF
writer (it pretends to be a printer), then the
intended filename for output is a registry
key that you must set.

I don't know if this would help, but the closest I have come to e-mail automation is to:

generate output files in various formats: .xls, .rtf, .txt, etc.

then send these files as attachments to different users using Outlook and creating an object reference.

then use the NT scheduler to run a macro to run these functions.

I can post some code examples if you think they might be any help.....
