I need a report to break at a group change and restart the page numbering form page 1. (sounded pretty simple)
But when I go into Report Group Info, and [X] New Page and Reset Page Number, there isn't a page break at the new group.
The page number is correctly reset to 1, but the first page is run on with the previous page. Page 2 of the new group starts correctly on a new page, and succeeding.

Any ideas?

TIA,
Neil

What version and patch level of FoxPro DOS (FPD) or Windows (FPW) are you using?

Rick

FoxPRO 2.6

"2.6 (X)", March 9, 1994, on Windows 98 (seen by FoxPRO as MS-DOS 7.10)
to run on
2.6 for unix, July 22, 1994, SCO unix 3.2v5.0.4

Should have specified 2.6 in the first place . . .

Neil,
I've never dug real deep into the DOS report writer, and there are just enough differences from the FPW version, that I'm not sure what the problem might be.

Any reason why you haven't upgraded to 2.6a? While there weren't a lot of changes / fixes, maybe your problem was addressed. I believe those patches are still avalable at
If this doesn't fix it or you can't upgrade, maybe some one else will know about this "feature".

Rick

The target system is FoxPRO for *unix*.

If there were upgrades, our management wouldn't trust them. I have no options for updating the environment.
