HI,

i m creating simple report having just list i drag Query object and then Sql object next to it .. .double click the Sql object and write query and getting error i have set my source for the query and using Oracle as back end ... . Sad

Why are you trying to write SQL queries from RS in the first place? The ideal is to model data, publish a package and use this to let Cognos write its own queries.

If you still need to use injected SQL then pay attention to the query type. Cognos syntax may differ quite a bit from what you are used with Oracle..
