Error is:
Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters. Details: [Database Vendor Code: 18456 ]

I have the Process > Database settings set to Use original database logon information from the report. And I'm using the information from the ODBC that is in my report for both datasources. The ODBC on the Crystal Reports Server is set up just like my workstation that I built the report on. Also When Viewing the Report is set to Use same database logon as when report is run.

Can anyone help me get this working? This is the first report that we have created that has two datasources.
Thanks

I should also add that on the Crystal Reports Server itself where Central Management Console and Infoview are running, I can open the report and run it just like on my workstation and it runs just fine.

I found a post located here that maybe explains what my real problem might be. It is not the two datasources as I first thought. I created a new report that only accessed the SQL 2005 database via SQL Native Client in ODBC system DSN.

I think that it appears that Crystal Reports version 10 doesn't like the SQL Native Client for SQL 2005. Even though my report was built with 10 and runs in 10 on my laptop, it runs on the Crystal Reports Server v11 from the Desktop which it appears the server has CRv9 on it. It just doesn't run from CMC.
No matter how I tweak the settings in the Process > Database it won't run.

I'm connecting via Windows Authentication in my report because that is the only way I am allowed to have access.
If anyone can help me it would be appreciated.

Well I finally was able to get access to the stupid SAP Portal and get some help from Business Objects. Here is what the fix ended up being.
On the Crystal Server open Central Configuration Manager.
For the services Crystal Reports Cache Server, Crystal Reports Page Server, Crystal Reports Job Server do the following:
Stop the service
Right click on the service and choose properties
For Log on As section take check out of Local System
Enter a domain user account and password that will have enough permissions to run these services. Usually what the server logs in with.
Click OK
Restart the service.
Hope this will help others out there.

Hi,
Glad you found the solution...In almost all cases the services should run under a domain account with full rights to everything the services need to operate ( File system rights, database access, etc)..

Well I was assuming that the person who set up the server set it up correctly. You know what happens when you "assume". :) I'm just happy it is finally fixed.
On to the next adventure!
