Hi

This must be real easy but....

I have a report which is a letter, I want to be able to view a record in a form and click the button I have inserted which runs the report and only run the report for the current record in the form.

However it runs it for all 5000 records.

Any help gratefully recieved.

Hi willpash

The query underlying your report needs to be limited to return only the record you are interested in.

If you have a unique ID field in the query and on the form, set its criteria to be something like Forms![Your Form]![YourIDField], then when you click the button to run the report from the form, the report will contain only those records whose unique ID equals whatever is currently in [YourIDField], which is the unique ID on your current form ... !

If you don't have a unique ID field in the query and on the form, add it in! You can hide it if you don't want it to be seen.

Hope this helps!
