Report Footer on same page?

Hi there, I hope there is a simple solution to this issue.

I have a report which is formatted with 3 columns. There is also a subreport in the Report footer section which I have used as a totals section (don't ask, trust me it's necessary to use a sub-report).

Everything works fine, except that the totals also appear on a new page. Is there a way to have the totals appear on the same page? There is plenty of room for them.

Here are some of the things I've already checked.
1. None of the header or footer sections have the 'force new page' property set, so that isn't the problem.

2. The column settings are exactly the same on the sub-report and main report. I feel like it's the columns that are throwing me off somehow.

Thanks for your help Maq [americanflag]

There is also a Keep Together property for Report Footers that is used to keep things on one page. You might check that out.

Thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately, that's not the answer. I've already looked at all the Keep Together properties and they are all set to 'Yes'. (And 'None' for all the New Row or Col properties) Maq [americanflag]

Yayy, I figured it out. [bigsmile]

Here's the solution for anyone who may be interested in this later.

The report header/footer prints across all the columns so Access had no choice, but to start a new page for the report footer, even though it could fit into the column.

To get around this, I created a new field in the query that the report is based on (recordsource) and called it "Dummy". The field has no real data in it, just a "1" for every record. I then created a Dummy grouplevel and moved my totals out of the report footer and into the Dummy footer.

Whew! Maq [americanflag]

Nice job Maq,

I was just going to reply because I posted a similar resolution to another post, but it involves a subreport's group header, and the ability to repeat on multiple pages...
