Report Execution time

Hi,

When i run the query in Toad it is taking 1 min.but when i use the same query in a report and run it , it is taking more than 3min.

Can anyone help me why it is taking that much time in report builder.

Neither TOAD nor Oracle Reports have local SQL engine. The SQL is executed on the DB server. Oracle Reports need additional time to execute the report layout once the data brought into report. THAT step is run locally and often takes significant time.
