Macola 7.5.102e over Pervasive.SQL

This morning the Open Orders/ All Items report in Macola (not Crystal) quit working. I checked other open order reports and they do not run either. Tried 3 workstations and 3 different users with the same results

The report screen opens, I select the date range and item number, click OK. There is a delay (as if the report were running) but then it goes back to the selection criterion screen.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

Thanks in advance for your help.

First, are you printing to screen, file or printer. If it's to screen or file, verify the data folder for the company you are using exists and you can create a file within that folder.

If it's to screen, delete all .tmp files within the data folder.

there were 7 *.tmp files. I deleted them all.

I get the same results whether printing to the screen or to a printer.

Could one of the OE files be corrupt?

What about other reports, do they print?

If not then initialize the report passing file under system manager, processes, system files, initialize system files.

Reports in other modules (AR, AP, IM, BM) print normally.

The sales analysis reports in OE work.

It just appears to be the open item reports that don't work.

Initializing the report passing file did not help.

Any more suggestions?

Thank you again for your help

Initialize all OE work files and try this again.

If that does not work, open enterprise manager and look at the raw data of your ARCUSFIL, OEORDHRD and OEORDLIN and confirm that the first record in each is not corrupted.

There was an old bug in pervasive. If someone had the open order report open on their screen, other users would get the behavior you described. I never got macola to admit this was a problem. I should check to see if it happens in 300b or c. Someone may have blown out of that screen improperly, so the files needed are still locked in pervasive.

To correct: have everyone log out of macola. Delete all user files in users folder. Delete screen*.tmp in data. Log into pervasive monitor. Delete any users left in monitor. If you can't delete the macola user files or the pervasive users, you'll have to go to the workstation and shut it down. No, don't restart. Turn it off completely until the user goes out of pervasive. Stop & start pervasive services or reboot the server if you can.

Super Hero thanks to MacolaHelp. That fixed the problem just fine. Thank you!
