We are planning on upgrading our SQL Server from 2000 to 2005, so that we can get the report writing services.
I believe this installs VB.Net as standard too. There are two things which I am unsure about and wondered if anyone can help..
1. In order to write reports from my PC, do I need to have SQL Server 2005 installed on my PC, and/or do I need to have vb.net installed?
2. When I write reports, is there a way to publish them so that other users can run them as and when they wish, changing criteria etc, without the users having vb.net or SQL Server installed on their PC? For example could they be published to an internal URL and ran this way?
Thanks
John
