Hi,

I have one report which can be viewed by different internal and external user. External user can only see their data. But Internal user can see one or more than one external user's data. For example internal user IU1 can see external user EU1,EU2,EU4 internal user IU2 can see EU1,EU8,EU7 etc.
So the relation is many to many. This relation can change everyday.
I am going to create one group for external user and create row level security for them. But I am not very sure how I make the relation between external and internal user. I was thinking to make a key on internal and external user id. Can any one has any idea?

Thanks,
RB

Hi,
Are there specific External/Internal CE usernames ( do they have to log in through the CE security pages)?

If so, then the CE username is available to the Report and can be used in a formula to determine if External or Internal..Then you can use that reesult as a part of your Record Selection Criteria to limit which rows can be seen.

yes, all are CE user. I don't think I can filter them in report. Because this internal and external relation may change every day. For external user it is fixed. But internal user rights will change always.

Hi,
Then just check for external and use Else for the internal.

If CEUsername in ('x','y','z') then
External
else
Internal
