Report displays differently to query

When I perform a query with a WHERE clause I am getting the exact records I want. When I use the same SQL in a report it displays all records and seems to disregard the WHERE clause. Does any one have any ideas on why this might be so?

No; shouldnt happen, unless you are rebuilding the recordsource in code on the OnOpen event without the WHERE clause ... check the code behind the form.

Also note that if you have any groups in the report that you are using to produce group headers/footers, then the reports group sorting overrides the ORDER BY associated with the record source.
