Report disappears very quickly from docmd.openreport

Hi,

I have the following command:

DoCmd.OpenReport "pm_query", acViewPreview

2 questions:

1) does this RUN the query behind the report at all?

2) my report flashes on the screen VERY quickly and
disappears -- does anyone know how to make the report
last longer? It is OK when I just double-click on it from the reports section, but I want the report-generation to be coming from the on-click event of a button.

Check to make sure that you don't have a DoCmd.Close statement after the OpenReport without specifying the form name to close. At that point the report is the active window and if no object is given it will close the report.....
