Dear collegues:

I designed a report with two details bands:
Group CITY
Detail 1 band content: CUSTOMER CODE CUSTOMER NAME ADDRESS PHONE
Detail 2 band content: CONTACT NAME E-MAIL

Example:(Group) LOS ANGELES

(Detail1) 1542 Callage & Sons Main Street (412) 333-4444
(Detail2) Mary Shelly maryshelly@callage.com

(Detail1) 701 ABC Indiustries 7th Avenue (412) 555-6767
(Detail2) Jonny Smith contact@abcindustries.com

...

How to avoid the Detail 2 go to the next page? (I want Detail 2 to be print in the same page as Detail 1)

Thank you,
SitesMasstec

Why two detail bands in that case?
You can put as many lines into a detail band as you need per record.

Bye, Olaf.

You can put as many lines into a detail band as you need per record.

That's right. And you can use the "Start group on new page when less than" control (in Report Properties / Data Grouping) to force the multiple detail lines to stay together.

Hi!
I used the two advices, from Olaf (now I use only Detail 1 band, the 2nd line is "Print when not blank) and alson from Mike (Start group (City) on new page when less than 1,5 inches).
The result was what I expected.
Thank you both.
