Trying to run the report designer from within and EXE and having two problems. 1. Can't find a way to setup the report format: Portrait or Landscape. 2.When I try to place a new table field on report from, no fields show in the Expression Builder Dialog, Fields box.

The report query table has been created and I can run the report, but if I try to edit the report with the report designer the edit form comes up OK, just don't have any fields in the Expression Builder dialog. The fields do not appear running the app within VF. Only way I have been able to get fields to appear have been to invoke the Report Wizard function.

TIA
John

For your first problem: You can setup Portrait or Landscape layout by using the Page Setup option at the File menu while in the Modify Report session.

For your second problem: You can only see fields within the Expression Builder dialog if you have already defined a source table within the Data Environment of your report form. To invoke the Data Environment, select Data Environment option from the View menu while in the Modify Report session. There are some inflexibilities though when using this approach in defining your source table. If your only concern for this problem is just not to memorize field names, I advise you to forget your desire to see the field names from within the Exp. Builder.
