Report Creating First page with blank detail section

I have created a report with one grouping. For each grouping I have created 8 supreports in the detail section. This is to allow the data to be analyzed correctly. When I run the report the first page shows the Report title and the Grouping information. The detail opn this page is balnk. The second page shows the Group information and each of the 8 subreports, as it should. I have set the subreports up as two columns of subreports - four reports in a column.

When I only have the first two subreports in the detail section, side by side, the report shows correctly. As soon as I add the third and subsequent subreports I get the blank detail section on the first page of the report. All other pages are good.

Help.

Maybe the top & bottom margins need to be made larger in page setup?

Larger?? I have reduced the to the max to give me more room....same results. Actually for the data that is being presented the first 4 Subreports should fit the first page.

Thanks....any other ideas would be helpful.
