Hi, a report based on a table with a memo field has for that field a textbox that only shows the first 255 characters. Its Autoextend property is set to Yes, and its Autocompress property is set to No.

Is it possible to see all the extension (not only the first 255 characters) of the memo field in a report control?

Thanks for any help given.

Before of noticing the wrong behaviour in the report control, i have copied text from the .rtf Word 2000 document created when scanning to OCR, and pasted this text to a form control bounded to the memo field.

After that some wrong behaviours in that form control have occurred: i have corrected some characters, and have seen that when erasing some ones, others appeared beside them.

But i have tried that report control bounded to a memo field that didn't have that pasted text, and all text neither appeared, only the first 255 characters.

Can the wrong behaviour of the report control be due to the pasting of rtf text from OCR scanning?

Thanks.

Truncated text can occur
- in the report's record source query. Have you opened the datasheet view of the query to see if all characters are displayed.
- Text box in a group or report header or footer
- the text box has a format property
