I would like to know how i can get cross tab column headings to automatically flow into the report.

I have a crosstab query which works just fine.

The first few fields identify the product. In field on the crosstab line there is the Column Heading. This later field will explode out to 6 columns when the crosstab is executed.

The 6 columns could have car names like Buick, Ford, Chevy, Toyota, Zippo, Harpo.

But what if someday, I add a 7th car named BMW. How will the report adjust itself? Is there a trick to make a report flexible to use a crosstabs column headings?

thanks alot. Molly

Thanks Remou. I shall read the articles that Duane has shared. The word "dynamic crosstab" is exactly what i meant; thanks for understanding me. At first quick glance, i am worried that i may get stuck since my column heading names are necessary: Buick, Ford, Chevy, etc.
They are so different than Mth1, Mth2, Mth3. I will see what i can do.
thanks Molly
