Has anyone seen a good report builder that will let users easily modify a report (with picklists of fields, etc.) I am looking for something that is not as complex for end users as using modify report (users don't need to enter formulas etc as all would be predefined)

Crystal Reports is very good. You can integrate it and run the reports from your VFP application or you can let the users have a stand-alone version of Crystal which reads your VFP data files.

Samsnead,

Are you talking about letting users modify an existing VFP report? If so, I agree with Tamar that Stonefield Query would be a good choice. You might also look at FoxFire (

Thanks for all the ideas. I will look into them. One question - is Stonefield easy (for users not programmers). The reports we want modified are actually bill formats and would be modified by secretaries or accounting personnel

is Stonefield easy (for users not programmers).

The product is designed to be packaged in an application that is aimed at end users. Based on a demonstration I saw recently, I would say that it easy for end users to use.
