I need to create a report with fields that change each time the crosstab query is run. For instance, the report will look like this:
Ball Bat Glove Base
First1 4 2 2 3
Second 2 3 1 1

The next time it is run, it may have these fields:

Cup Saucer Plate Spoon
First1 2 6 3 9
Second 1 9 2 3

Each time the report will be different, depending on what is being sumarized from user information in the table.

I based the report on a crosstab query that sumarizes the data. However, each time I have to build the table from scratch because the query contains diffent objects.

Thanks in advance, Bill Heath

LOTS of trepidation here for me.

Let me attempt to re-itterate what you said. Just for starters, so I'm SURE I know what you are asking for.

You have a report (I'll refer to this object as MyRpt.

MyRpt is base on a crosstab query (refer to this as MyXtab

MyXtab] is based on a Table (refer to as MyTbl.

All of this presently "works" to produce different reports, with the consideration that you need to MANUALLY rebuild the table for each report.[/red]

You want/need help in?
[tab]Automating changing the table?
[tab]Other parts of the process?

I do need help in automating lables and putting the info in the right place.
The table (MyTbl) is rebuilt each time by a VB module, using the currently available data in a user table. Acrosstab query manipulates the data to put it in the order shown. I need to be able to run the report each time the query is run. However since the filed names hav changed (ie; Ball is now Plate, etc.) Microsoft gives an error of cannot find the field "Ball" in MyTbl.
