Report Alerts and Crystal Viewer - urgent 1

I am using the CRViewer in my visual basic program. When I open the report via Crystal Reports itself, the Report Alerts display properly

When I open the report through the CRViewer in visual basic, the alerts do not fire.

Do the alerts work in Crystal when viewing the report through the CRViewer? If so, how? And, are there any other ways to get this functionality to work within VB

CRViewer doesn't come with alert functionality; you have to program it yourself.

There are several 3rd-party viewers (see list at

http://www.kenhamady.com/bookmarks.html)

that probably have this functionality already developed. I know my DataLink Viewer does... )
