Hello all,
Is it possible in Outlook 2003 to reply to an email using a template? I have very generic messages that I need to send to people requesting information and am looking for a better way to do it than cutting and pasting.
Thank you for any advice,
Katy

There are a couple of possibilities depending on whether or not you want it to just happen automatically without any interaction or if you will want to add/modify content of the message.

For a completely automated method, see:
Auto Replys in outlook possible? thread68-880003

For a less automated way, where you can edit, modify, or customize the message:
Just create a new message with the basic content & subject. Then use File, Save to save it to your desktop (or wherever is convienent outside of outlook). Now, when you want to use this message, just double click on the desktop icon, address it, modify or customize, and send. The original will stay on your desktop for future use.

hi,
thank you for your response but i guess i was wondering if there was a way to insert text into the message. because i need to use it for a reply and want the original message to show up. i was going to use the "Insert Text" part of autotext but i was wondering if there were any other options.
Thank you,
Katy
