I have a NW6sp2 server. For some reason, the server will not let me set the REPLY TO GET NEAREST SERVER to ON. I have it configured in the startup.ncf file.

Any ideas?

Try setting in in MONITOR (communications)or the AUTOEXEC.NCF. I don't think it's settable in STARTUP.

Could have several reasons.
Did you try setting that via MONITOR.NLM ?
