Hi, we are using Outlook 2000 and when I reply to an e-mail it comes back undeliverable (most of the time) and I know it's a correct e-mail, it even get's kicked back when we sent e-mail within the company, and I know the e-mails works and is correct, and when I start a new e-mail and copy and paste everything in the new e-mail it's working fine.
Any ideas why this happens
Thanks

The problem in this case is exchange i fear.

If you are replying to a mail from someone and it comes back undeliverable, it basically says that address is incorrect. When sending a mail, exchange firstly checks on it's own exchange enviroment for the address and tries to resolve it from there.

Check your own gal and make sure that address is correct on there. Also use message tracking and you'll propably get the wrong address.

When you are typing in the address manually it cannot find it on the exchange enviroment and sends it out through the internet to the address.

Hi thanks for the reply, but I know the e-mail address is correct we checked it and made sure, and when you sent it as a new e-mail it's working.
I don't have my own exchange server here, can I still do some message tracking?

thanks again for all your support and help

Sorry, i only saw another thing now.

You're saying that the mails only comes back undeliverable sometimes.

Check the message at the bottom of the Undeliverable message. It should give a error like :

The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this message was sent to. Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient directly to find out the correct address.

This normally gives you an id of what's wrong. Check the size of the mails you're sending.
