Replies when message received via GW Exchange Gateway 1

We are having a problem with addressing on replies to messages that have been transferred via a GW-Exchange gateway (SP2). User A (Exchange) sends a message to User B (GW) who forwards it to User C (GW). User C does a Reply to All. User B's address appears on the Reply as a GroupWise explicit address: UserB.<Gateway>.<Domain> and is undeliverable. Where is this getting picked up from and how can we stop it?

Are you using Internet Addressing (GW 5.5 &>) or Addressing Rules (GW 5.2)?
