I'm trying to set up a second server as a reporting server to keep the load (and the users) off my Live Production system.

I know I can restore the nightly backup to the report box but I want something a little more regular than that so I can keep the reporting box as up to date as possible.

I've looked at transaction log shipping but if a user is conected tothe box wehn the logs are restorign then the restore waits or kicks the user off (not realy the ideal solution)

Does anyone have a sensible solution which means I can keep the reporting server as close to live as possible whilst still being able to allow users access to create and run reports.

I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by
