Hello
Anyone ever set up replication from a remote server back into a VPN.
I have the publisher inside a VPN on an internal ip address eg 192.168.X.X address
It can see the subscriber which is on a public web server. e.g. i can set up a SQL connection to it.
So i set up the publication e.g. snapshot specific tables etc.
I then go on to the web server on a public ip address but it cant see the SQL Publisher. I cant register it because its on an internal ip address. Do I need a specific firewall rule to route all specific traffic to the internal address?
I had thought about web synchronisation but really dont want to go down this line e.g. certs URL etc.
Any help much appreciated, if you need more info also please post.
cheers
