I have developed, but not rolled out, an Access application. Everything appears to be working fine. This will be my first time working with replicated databases. Is the following like a good strategy? Is there a better way?

The app is split between the front end and the back end. The back-end tables are linked.

I have created separate Design Masters and replicas for both the front end and back end databases.

Thanks.

Usually only the BackEnd should be replicated.

Hope This Helps, PH.

PHV,

Does replication work well? I just remember finding the description of conflict resolution as scary. Or is the point to not use it if you might have conflicts?

A company I used to work for eventually abandoned replication as it always seemed to break down.

Hence the advice I have read in books... Don't use Jet replication, roll your own. That'd be tedious though, writing your own replication system.
