Hi,
guess that my question is very simple, just because I'm a newbie with Lotus Notes
I've got a Lotus Notes Client 5.0.8 trying to replicate a Mail Database against a Domino 5.0.11 through Direct Dialup. Well, in the replication process, I've selected "Summary Only", because of telephone costs.... Once the replication finished, I check the mail summary and would like to replicate the whole mail data (attach included), and when I've selected "Full documents " in the replication options, and started the process again, the replicator did it, but only with the new mails I've received since last replication....

am I doing something wrong? o is that the way replication works?

Thanks in advance,
Leandro

When you have "Summary only" set in the replication options you will notice in your Inbox a small blue icon next to the subject on a message that has been replicated with the option set. Once you open this document you can select Actions -> Retrieve entire document from the menu to get the attachment and everything else from the server.

Once the document has replicated from the server it won't get replicated again unless the document changes. If you change the replication options the document does not change so it doesn't get replicated again. Even if you clear the replication history it will not replicate again. Each document has a sequence number that is incremented by 1 every time the document changes. When replication occurs between databases with the same replica ID the sequence numbers are compared to determine which documents get replicated.

I'm sure the only way is to retrieve full document from the actions menu.

Thanks ABOzIT !!!! you were really helpful and extremely clear in your explanation
