I built an application in Access 2000 and upgraded to Access 2003. Then I set up replication. Following a sync with replicas, the Design Master issues several error messages when it starts up -- "The expression On Load you entered as the event property setting produced the following error: Invalid Data Format." This message appears in what looks like a form with extra help available, etc. A similar message comes with the On Current event; then a large number of "Invalid Data Format" messages in message boxes. I have checked the code and can find nothing strange - it used to compile correctly, but now the form events generate more messages with no indication as to where the error is. Not sure how the project file could have gotten corrupted (if that is the problem) or what to do to fix it. The replicas all work properly. I have current fixes and updates applied.

Assuming the replicas open correctly, have you attempted to convert a replica into the design master?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I can create a new DM from a replica, but the new DM goes bad too, making changes / improvements difficult. Is there something against having some of the DIM statements outside of the Subroutines in code or having a SUB without "Public" or "private" behind a form or report? I have tried to create a blank MDB and import everything -- get errors during the import too.

My development is with Acc 97, but you can have dim's outside the subroutine, it affects the scope of the variable.

I've never had a sub without private or public.

Outside my experience, but I'm guessing it's to do with the change from 2000 to 2003. They are different animals.
