I hope this pertains to this forum. If not I apologize and hope you can point me to the write forum.
I have two remote locations 300miles appart that I need to make a database available. I am hoping to stay way from citrix or any type of remote logins. My interest is if there is a way to replicate data within a SQL database across the network and what type of connection I need (ptp, broadband, fiber). Basically I want both locations to share the same data and to be able replicate data over the internet (securely) with as little latency as possible. Hours replication is not an option but perhaps I can get the data available within 10 to 15 minutes might be ok.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can use merge replication to replicate data between sites, but this can be tough to setup.

The best bet is to have a good amount of bandwidth between the sites and install an app server at the each site and have them log into the database server at one of the sites. Put the data in which ever site has the most users.

As long as you have enough bandwidth, 300 miles shouldn't be a problem at all.
