I dont know about replication and need some help please.
I have been asked to make some minor changes to a replicated database but the master has been lost, I have selected make this replication the master but the folders, queries, and so on still show as replicated, can I make this a true master? and is there a very good reason to use replication?

Replication is excellent in my opinion. It is great when you have disconnected users (such as users wanting to make changes to a db whilst on the road). It enables them to have a local copy of the db, make changes & then synchronize them with the master (& vice-versa). It can also be used to reduce network traffic on less-frequently updated db's, by installing a replica on each users machine...

Even if you have the design master, the object items will still show with that funny symbol infront of them :). James Goodman

Thanks for the comments, Having un-replicated the database, is it possible to get rid of the funny symbols?

Tried that and it looked OK but I could not edit any of the macros in any of the forms. i.e. On click event procedures.
