Recent water damage forced replacement of VT connected to Meridian 1 at QPC687A module (I have a spare DEC VT520).

I can get into terminal set up and want to connect comm 1 back to M1 with parallel printer connected to OKIdata.

I have followed several of the forum tips in order to set up comm 1 at 9600 8 N 1 XON and printer at 4800 8 N 1 XON but cannot get M1 to start talking (both on screen and printer in duplicate).

Any suggestions?

I don't think anyone can be sure yours was 9600bps. I would try 1200, 2400 then 9600 - one of them should work.

You may also want to check to see if the TTY is enabled. connect a PC to the port to make sure you are getting traffic. That would be the first step. If the VP520 went haywire, your TTY port may have become disabled. If you can't access via the VT520 port, then get into the system from the system ports on J21/J25 and check the tty ports in ld 37.
