We had a Perc2 controller card go bad on our server and the system will not boot now. I ordered a refurb and installed it. When I go into the controller container configuration, it gives this message and I am unsure whcih to check:

Configuration change has been detected in the system.
If you reject the configuration change, you will not be able to modify
current configuration.
If you accept it will be updated to the current configuration.

What exactly does affect vs reject mean here in regards to me not losing my data and server os and making this sytstem function normally again?

Thanks for any help!

Remove the drives from the controller, go into raid bios and make sure configuration is cleared, re attach, the drives, startup, it should pick up the "configuration on disk" COD.
This model does not support drive roaming, so drives MUST be exactly where they were in the slots or on a cable when on the old controller.
