Hi all,

my VMX200 has it's harddisk crashed (540 Mb SCSI model), since I have another disk (400MB) laying around from an old laptop, I thought I could swap the disks, but when I try to initialize the disk the VMX says "ILLEGAL DISK". what do I have to do to make this disk valid for the VMX200?

greetings,

Hi whosrdaddy

Sorry to say that you will need a replacement harddisk from AVAYA. We also just thought that we could use "another disk" from an old computer.
BUT it is not possible as the VMX200's disks are specially formatted. I can imagine that the VMX200 is running together with an Ericsson MD110 and the VMX200 was bought through Ericsson when Ericsson sold the Voice 100/200/300 with their MD110's.

Hi again

I was a bit fast on the submit button...
But as I wrote, this is the case: A replacement harddisk must be obtained from AVAYA.

Best regards from the "doktor".

Hi all,
We have a VMX DIAL voicemail system with 190 Mb hard drive which just died, and I pulled out 51 Mb hard drive from system we bought for parts - system boots fine, (v.6.2.2), but I do NOT know the PASSWORD.

From floppy disk ( came with system for parts ) I located the password ( 8th track on fd, address: 0005BF ),
This password I found does not work.

regards,
