replacing GL account 1

Hi,

I'd like to add another G/L segemnt in Accpac 5.5.
We currently use 3 segments but require 4.

I've created another account structure to cater for all 4 segemnts and set the accounts which are to be replaced by a 4 segemnt account to inactive.
I'm not an accountant - am I required to bring the transactions from the old account into the new account and can I do this in Accpac?
If I don't need to see the transactions I assume I just do a journal entry to bring the balance accross from the old account?

That's up to your accountant.

Use GL Account Code Changer, it with retain all the existing transaction history and change the accounts in all the modules as well.
