I have been having trouble with my floppy drives and/or the FDI QPC 742E card. I just got in a replacement card and I notice it has a block on it that says:
Gen 1011 L01617 NTSC Rls17.xx options: (79:5366) Limits (2508).
Question: Does this card have something important to do with matching up to the OS floppies I actually use? Will it work with the Generic 1011 Rls 15.46 that I have? (I am planning on powering down and swapping out both the FDI and the floppy cards at the same time).

Is it time to give up on the DYI and call in the local support guys?
Thanks,
gr

I don't think you should have any problems doin it yourself.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.
