Hi,
I have to replace a faulty Universal NSU on a customer site, power supply is dead. I have never had to do this before and I do not think that there is a copy of the NSU database. Do I have to reprogram the NSU after it loads from the Controller. What is the best procedure to use.

You can swap out the power supply and then get the database off the old one

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Install a T1/E1 card in an MMC slot and re-program the trunks via the ESM. This has many advantages including getting away from having to use IMAT to program the NSU.

Thanks Guys, I got it sorted.[thumbsup2]
I managed to dig out my student manuals and discovered that I had the procedure to program NSU using IMAT, not as difficult as I thought.
In any case I jus replaced the power supply unit in the faulty NSU and it came back up working as normal.[bigsmile]
