I am planning to upgrade the drives on my HP ML370 from 5 18.2GB drives to 5 36.4GB Drives. Currently set up in a RAID 5 into two equal size partitions.

I am not sure of the RAID controller thats installed, so I do not know for sure if it will support saving the current array configuration.

What needs to be done in order to accomplish this? Where do I start?

depends on the os and how easy access to the server is

if in no rush then i would tend to remove first disk - place new one in then wait until rebuilt then swap one at a time until complete

then you can extend the logical partition

then it's os specific - netware , linux etc just a case of expanding

if ms then you'll need partition magic or something

370's - will either by built in 5i or a 3200 or 5300 - they will support it

you can check it by gpoing to
