Hi,
In option 11C. How to replace defective Line or trunk
card without shut down the system. I have some steps
like we have to disable the card in LD32 is it enough
or we have to disable first Line or trunk members of the associatedcard. and also associated loop. Kindly show the way in steps with some example say digital line card in slot
6 of basic shelf like to replace.

With best regards,

as long as its a normal card such as DGTL/FALC/XCOT/DID, you can just pull it out & insert the new card, eg hot swap.

if its a PRA card, I would disable the d-ch in LD96 & loop in LD60. Then when you have swapped out the card, just enable the loop in LD60. d-ch should stand back up automatically.

All you have to do is diable the line/trunk card in LD 32 by typing "disc (card number)". Pull the card out and replace it with a new one. After replacing it stay in LD 32 and type "enlc (card number)". That should be all you have to do.

LD 32
.disc 4

replace the card

.enlc 4
