Replacing .dbx files

After lossing several identies I was able to recover quite a few of the individual .dbx files using a recovery tool. Now after replacing them into a outlook express identity that don't show up. Anyway to fix this? I am guessing the folder.dbx is not the original, but I can't seem to find the right one. Any way around this?
 
Just as an update I have tried to different recoverery tools, but the .dbx files show up blank. However they are all large files witch leads me to believe that the files are there but I can not get access for some reason. I copied over the files to another machine in the meantime in hopes that I can get it up and running and then transfer back to original machine
 
1. Yes, folders.dbx contains & sets the folder structure. Deleting this file (with OE closed) will cause the folder structure to be rebuilt using all the .dbx files found in that directory. What won't happen is that nested folder structure (or subfolders) will be created at the top level and need to be moved.
