Replacing Clock controller cable

I need to replace a clock controller cable in an Opt 81C. Are the steps to replace the cable similar to replacing the Clock Controller card?

I just let the provider know that I'm changing it then disable span and clock, change cable, then re-enable span and clock.

An Option 81 has 2 clock controllers. The clock controllers have a clock to clock cable, clock cables to the T1 cards and most importantly they also wire also to the FIJI cards. You would need to put all traffic on one ring before replacing what ever cable you are replacing. Otherwise you are going to get all kinds of weird problems. What cable are you replacing?
