Replacing BFT and MSC CARD 3

I have a BCM 3.5 it needs the BFT TRAY AND MSC replaced nortel is send it,Is there any thing a person should beware of. Do i have to copy all data on it or will i loss it all on this change.. Thanks

You will need all the data to be backed up. If it is faulty and you can not access the MSC card you will lose all the programming associated with the telephony programing. You will need a key code regen to transfer any of the key codes from the faulty MSC card to the new one.If the MSC card is going from one version to another from 3.5 to 3.7 or 3.5 to 3.6 etc you will lose all your programing anyway. You will also be advised to reinialise the hard drive and MSC card to guarantee everything will be ok in the future.
