Hi,

I built a second Exchange 2000 server into my existing Exchange organization. I am currently in the processs of moving all of the user' mailboxes to this new server. My question is, after I'm through migrating all the mailboxes are there any special steps that need to be taken before de-commissioning that first Exchange 2000 server?

Also, after completing the above task my next project will be to replace the existing Exchange 2000 front-end server. Are there any special considerations for doing that?

Thanks
Bill

There are several things that you will have to reconfigure. The RUS (Receipent Update Services), Public Folders and Free Busy Related Stuff. There are several articles on support.microsoft.com that detail the process.
