Hi guys,

I have a problematic exch 2000 server that i want to remove and replace with a brand new server.

Not quite sure how to go about it but how does this sound.

Build my new 2000 server as a member server of the domain and install exchange 2000 plus all service packs etc. In exchange manager i drag and drop or move the mail boxes to the new server.

Once all the mail boxes have been transferred i need to remove the current server. How do i do this?

Once it has been removed i configure my firewall to pass port 25 onto the new mailserver.

Have i missed anything? I've never done this procedure before.

Thanks in advance.

Paul
