Replacing acs R1.1 module with R6

I am trying to replace an R1 module that has the green backup and restore card with an R6 module. When I try to restore with the green restore card it gives me "file empty". Can I buy a later card, back it up with the R1 module and restore to the R6?

With Partner you cannot backup from version X and restore to version Y. Your best bet is to simply reprogram. Won't take but 30 minutes...

or if you have an upgrade card then upgrade to R6 and then take the config and move it over, but Mike is right it should not take you long to reprogram if you don't have the upgrade possibility.
