I need to replace an existing network printer in a MS SQl2000 server invironment. The existing printer has given up the ghost and I need to replace it with a new printer. The new printer is a model up from the existing. Do I need to simply install the printer drivers on the server, then connect the printer to the patch lead that the original printer was attached.
What about naming the printer on the server, port settings ip address etc?
Can keep the existing name ?
