Replacing a Domain Controller

All,

I'm planning a DC replacement and found this tread thread931-1249467 "How to replace a Domain Controller?" that should works for us except one thing. We have a Exchange 2003 on the domain but not on this box. Is there any additional steps I should take before pulling this box down?
